I have proudly owned and managed Godley Stud Riding School since 1999, taking over at just 21 years of age from my mum, Trish Hazlehurst. Mum had successfully run a riding school in Romiley for many years, and it was through her that my lifelong passion for horses began. Sadly, after living with multiple sclerosis, she made the difficult decision to retire. She passed away in 2017, but her love of horses, dedication, and values continue to inspire everything we do at Godley Stud.

It certainly hasn't always been easy, but over the years Godley Stud has become much more than just a business—it has become a way of life for our family. My passion has always been to create a friendly, welcoming environment where people of all ages can enjoy horses, learn to ride, build confidence, and create memories that last a lifetime.

I couldn't do it without the support of my husband, David Blease, who works tirelessly behind the scenes. Whether he's maintaining the fields, repairing the stables, making hay while the sun shines, or keeping all the essential equipment running, David's dedication and hard work help ensure everything at the yard runs smoothly every day.

Our daughter, Amy, has grown up surrounded by horses and shares our lifelong passion for them. She is incredibly hardworking, and the horses truly are part of her family. Her dedication, kindness, and genuine love for every horse help create the warm, supportive atmosphere that we are so proud of.

Last, but certainly not least, our instructor, Claire, has been a dedicated and valued member of our team for over 25 years. Her experience, patience, and commitment to helping riders develop their skills have made her an integral part of the Godley Stud family and a much-loved instructor to riders of all ages.

Together, we are committed to making every rider and visitor feel welcome, whether they are taking their very first riding lesson or have been part of the Godley Stud family for many years.
